West Idaho Falls neighborhoods nearer to the river date to the 1950s and generally speaking, homes are newer as you head West following the expansion of the City.

Westside homes were intially popular with ‘site’ workers that drove out to the desert site every day for work. The westside continues to be popular with INL, NRP and DOE subcontractor workers that continue commute daily to the desert site.
